Come and join us in celebrating Parks Day at Cypress Hills Provincial Park!

 

Park Day Events at the East Boat Dock:

11:00 AM - 12:30 PM: Guided Canoe Tour

  • Great for those who feel comfortable in a canoe, and would like to explore Elkwater Lake. Join one of our experienced paddlers for a quick trip on the lake.

 

Parks Day Events at the Beach:

11:00 AM - 12:30 PM: Cougar Cat-itude

  • Deep in the hills lives the courageous Cougar, a creature wrapped in mystery and misconceptions. Come and discover one of North America's most successful predators through craft, conversation, and play!

2:00 PM - 3:30 PM: Wetlands

  • Water is life, without it nothing survives.  A vast array of life calls the waters of the Cypress Hills home. Drop-by and chat with our park interpreter at the Elkwater Beach to learn about our fish, why we need to clean our boat and anything you possibly want to know about water and wetlands.

 

Parks Day Events at the Visitors Centre: 

10:00 AM - 4:00 PM:

  • Tattoos
  • Sidewalk Chalk Art
  • Colouring Contest 

6:30 PM - 8:30 PM: Wildlife Bus Tour

  • All aboard! This 2hr evening expedition will take you to hidden wilderness of Cypress Hills, exploring the towering heights of the picturesque plateau, the far reaches of the Reesor valley, and the wonderous wildlife who call this place home. Discover the real Cypress as we reveal the magic behind the island in the sky!
