    Wildlife Viewing

    • Beauvais Lake Provincial Park represents the  Montane Sub-region of the Rocky Mountain   Natural Region. It protects rare and diverse ecosystems and wildlife, including specifes at risk like the northern lepard frog.
    • Elk, moose, wolves, black bears, grizzly bears and other montane species are common in the park. 
    • The park and surrounding area are prime wildlife habitat. This includes the campground and developed facilities, as well as backcountry trails.

    Crown of the Continent

    • Beauvais Lake is like a gem in the Crown of the Continent.  The ecosystem where Alberta, British Columbia and Montana meet is largely defined by the habitat needs of the wide-ranging wildlife that thrives here.  The Crown of the Continent, "one of the world's great mountain landscapes", covers approximately 44,000 square kilometres.
    • As well as Beauvais Lake Provincial Park and Waterton Glacier International Peace Park (a UNESCO World Heritage site), the Crown of the Continent includes several provincial parks.
