The North Shore Group site is located 60 kms south of Drayton Valley on highway 620 (Sunchild Road). It can be accessed from highway 11 as well going north for 65 kms. At this location; you can fish; canoe and sail on the reservoir as well as watch birds and other wildlife on the informal trails. OHV's are not permitted in the campground.
Recent changes to the recreation area regulation under the Public Health Act have affected the provision of drinking water in this group campground – we cannot absolutely guarantee that water from hand pumps is free of pathogens because of the risk of ground water contamination. As a result, Alberta Parks recommends that you bring your own drinking water.
