Aspen Beach is evolving with nature! Gull Lake has a long history of being strongly influenced by fluctuating water levels due to rainfall and snowmelt. Currently, lake levels are very shallow along the park shorelines.
Due to this change, Ebeling Beach is moving towards a more naturalized landscape to support local ecosystems. You'll find that only pathways to the water will remain groomed, ensuring clear routes for accessing the lake for water recreation. The rest of Ebeling Beach will be left to its natural state.
We appreciate your understanding and support as we navigate these changes.
Effective Date: May 16, 2025
Where: Ebeling Beach Boat Launch, Brewers Campground Boat Launch and Lakeview Campground Boat Launch
Why: Please be advised that all three boat launches at Aspen Beach Provincial Park are closed for the 2025 operating season. This necessary measure is due to critically low water levels in Gull Lake, which pose a significant safety risk to boaters and could cause damage to watercraft. Please respect all closures and obey all signage posted on site. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring the safety of all park visitors.
Alberta Parks is actively monitoring the water levels and will reassess the situation as conditions change. We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause to your experience.
